Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SEOF1 ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit our website or use our platform (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable laws.
1. Who we are
SEOF1 operates the Service. For the purposes of GDPR, SEOF1 is the "data controller" of personal data you provide directly through your account. When you use the Service to process content for your own customers, you remain the controller and we act as a "data processor" on your behalf.
For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@seof1.app.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, profile picture, workspace and brand details.
- Authentication metadata: sign-in events, IP address, user agent, device type, session timestamps.
- Content data: keywords, briefs, drafts, generated articles, images, brand assets, and planner items you create.
- Billing data: subscription tier, plan status (handled via our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, AI generations, error logs, and product analytics.
- Communications: support chat messages and emails you send us.

3. How we use data (legal bases)
- Provide the Service (contract): account creation, AI content generation, workspaces, planner, articles, image generation, brand assistant, support chat.
- Secure the Service (legitimate interest): fraud prevention, abuse detection, audit logs, session tracking.
- Improve the product (legitimate interest / consent for analytics cookies): aggregate analytics, debugging.
- Comply with law (legal obligation): tax records, lawful requests.
- Marketing (consent): newsletters and product updates; you can opt out at any time.
4. AI processing
Generated content is produced via third-party large language model providers. Your prompts and the generated outputs are transmitted to these providers solely to fulfil your request. We do not authorise providers to train their public models on your content. You are responsible for ensuring that prompts and generated content comply with applicable laws and do not infringe third-party rights.
5. Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Sub-processors who help operate the Service (cloud hosting, database & auth, AI model providers, email delivery, analytics, payments). Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
- Workspace members you choose to invite.
- Authorities, where required by law.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
6. International transfers
Some sub-processors are located outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent UK transfer mechanisms.
7. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, port your data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@seof1.app.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, scoped database access controls (row-level security), least-privilege service roles, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; we will notify you and the relevant authorities of any qualifying breach without undue delay.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
